DuraMax Stopping

One of our Duramax machines during the summer months will stop, and also try to pick up the probe in the probe rack a couple of times then stop or continue. I have cleaned contacts, restarted, relocated magazine racks, etc... still the problem is there. I will clean the X and Y axis rails ( they will tend to get globs of grease built up) then the machine will run without issues. I am thinking it is an issue with the combination of humidity and grease build up combo because it only happens in the summer months and usually when the humidity gets above 40%. Has anyone else experienced this?

Funny, just this morning our production duramax was stopping at weird times. Restarting Calypso didn't help. What fixed the problem was physically unplugging the computer and restarting it that way.

We have a Duramax 6 years old that's experienced the same thing and the solution to get it going was the same as what you're doing.

We did have to have one of the drive motors replaced late last summer so, it will be interesting to see if that getting weak didn't have something to do with it. Haven't had any problems with it since.

It is usually caused by dirty contacts, or damaged plates.

At my previous employer, there was a lot of metal in the air, so small chips of metal would get into the magnetic ring around the plate.
