[Ni...]
Hi everyone, I need help on getting the X-value of the inside tube transition. Can a kink point give me the result, how do I use it? ThanksKinkPoint Question.png
[An...]
Hello Nick, is this a turned part or a bore? if so, you can measure cylinders and cones twice and make a cut in the geometry. Can you show something more of the cutting of the drawing?
[Ri...]
It works the same way essentially that intersection works. The advantage of using it over intersection is in the case of using 2d features. Calypso doesn't like trying to intersect 2d features because they may not always lie on the same plane (especially with circles and lines). There are two way to do it, with or without Curve - I prefer it with Curve. Extract a Curve that covers the trace that you are wanting to take. Extract the two nominal geometries that you want to create an intersection of. The Curve is what you measure, so that goes in the Feature portion, and the two nominal geometries that you are wanting to see intersected go into Nominal Feature 1 & 2.
