[Si...] Posted June 14, 2019 Share Posted June 14, 2019 Hi all, I just recently found out that Zeiss no longer sends out physical CDs with the Entitlement ID required to finalize installation of updates to the software... I am currently down and waiting for this to some how be remedied. I was told by Zeiss that "Who ever signs off the SMA Renewal is sent the Lisc. in their Portal" Well, the problem is that I am the only one who has a portal and deal with them ( Main Contact) . [To...] Posted June 14, 2019 Share Posted June 14, 2019 A few years back, Zeiss began asking customers to send an email to imtcare@zeiss.com. [Si...] Posted June 17, 2019 Share Posted June 17, 2019 SO ..... Apparently Zeiss never sent out the ID in the first place... Long story short they changed who receives the License now (ME) and they are found in the Zeiss Portal under RENEW LISC. They no longer send Physical CDs. So any updating you are wanting to do... You better have Portal Access. They actually just Denied our IT guy ..and this is AFTER I had them add him to the 2nd Authorized person for the Liscs. [Jo...] Posted June 17, 2019 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Silvio, I assure you that you're not the only one who experienced this issue. We delayed upgrade to 2018 (from 2015, skipping 2016 and 2017). When I tried to get us upgraded, everything stalled at licenses. It took a couple weeks of back and forth with Zeiss to finally get everything lined up under my name on the Portal. When we need to purchase something, we go through the process that begins with the requester (me), and heads through my Supervisor, our Manager, other Managers and Purchasing to get signed off on buying the upgrade; so I have no idea who they assigned the licenses to from our company. Here's hoping this is the only time we have to go through anything like this again, as now I should be the sole manager of our license files from my portal. *wipes brow* whew!
