Whats the best way to build ssc probes and get them in calypso. Ive been trying to do it myself but i dont really know what im doing or if what im doing is correct....
I have all my pcf probe files imported in and in the probe rack....
I just need to get the ssc probes to match up in calypso....
Im either 1 inch above or to low etc..... I could really use a little help(maybe a lot)
Thank You

You need to import a master probe in planner first, and it must match the master probe length of the machine or offline seat from which you imported your PCF files. Thinking about it, doesn't importing of a SSC overwrite previously imported PCF data?

Anyway, the stylus positions depend on the master probe length. We have a 30 year old MC550 CMM which has a much longer master probe than e.g. a Contura. But our offline seat is configured as a Contura and so we always have to adjust the Z positions of our styli when we import PCFs from the offline seat.

If it does overwrite the pcf data that is something i needed to know.
I believe the master probe length and the data thing is where im having problems. I need to figure out how to change my masterprobe length.. it was set when i first set up planner....
Thank you very much 🙂

I don't even know whether it's just the length or also the master probe SSC you import in Planner.
I only set this up once almost 12 years ago and then forgot the details. Since then I only made backups and restored the data on any new software version or laptop we got.

Use the same steps as if creating a probe on an active CMM.
Add, import SSC file.
I found when creating SSC files, I import over existing files and re-qualify.
