[To...]
Any Y14.5-1194 GD&T gurus out there? Before I go on a rant, I just want to hear what some of you guys think. I have another aerospace related issue to deal with. I have a part with a plane as Datum A, Datum B is called out as "AXIS OF Ø", and a plane perpendicular to A as Datum C. There are several IDs and one whimpy OD. This is quite typical for many US aerospace drawings where they don't actual refer to a feature for the datum. Does the 1994 version have a provision that covers this? I'm actually surprised they are referencing ASME and not their own standard.
