[Me...]
Is there a way to prompt the operator to verify or to do something from within the program? For instance, I have a part that has one very small feature that needs to be to the left when clamped into the fixture. I want to prompt the operator at run time to "Verify that the small angled slot is to the left and the swing up stop is in the down and stowed position." Is there a way to pop this up at the start of the program? Bill
[Mi...]
Add a programmable stop in the feature you want to show the instruction/request. Under strategy menu. Add it then double click to open. In the dialog box, type in your Verify that the small angled slot is to the left and the swing up stop is in the down and stowed position." All the op will need to do is hit Continue Run. Also note that when you get the PS added, you will need to move it to the top of the list so that it will read the code before the feature is measured. I usually move mine so that it sets under the Clearance Data line Easy Peazy lol
[Ch...]
Programmable Stop in the feature strategy. The text will show up as a prompt that they must click thru.

[Me...]
Chad, What does the "CMM Position" line do? Are you sending the probe to a safe position or something? Thanks again, Bill
[Mi...]
CMM Position does indeed send the probe to a coordinate without probing. Don't confuse this with "CMM Step", which increments the probe position, e.g., a CMM Step of (5,0,0) moves it 5 in the positive x direction, whereas a CMM Position of (5,0,0) moves to that coordinate in the base alignment.
