[Am...]
Hi I have a program thats been driving me crazy. I don't have much luck with the O-inspect program working correctly except for basically when its created. For example I ran a part today and the line scans are finding the points in the correct place but putting the actual line quite a distance from the points. Was repeatable the day I made the program and if I crate a new feature today on that program it matches the line up perfectly but if I run a feature that was created last time it finds the points just fine but places the line off from where the points are. I don't have any new pics but here is a pic from when I ran into this the first time. What am I doing wrong and can I still fix this program without redoing everything its a pain to make it over again its quite lengthy. Do I need to run the calibration again? Do i need to change something about the feature or edge analysis? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
[Ri...]
The Yellow Line is the nominal scanning line. That is where it is supposed to be. Your points are picking up the actual location of the line.
[Am...]
Then I don't understand why my result is so far off where if I create brand new features they are dead on nominal. But thank you I'll have to look into it and see something else must be going on. Another question I have is on another program I have a feature that moves a bit from part to part and when it looks for it it will be just off from the area its scanning, is there something i can do when it comes to the feature where the program will stop and allow me to manually move where the search area is? That would work a lot better if I could make it work. Thank you for your help, im very new to the o-inspect.
