I posted this in the Hardware section but it doesn't look that active. Looking for a friend?

Does anyone know if replacing the back lighting bulb is a DYI project or do I REALLY need a service call? Thanks.

Yes, I agree. Turns out it's more than just the back lighting, I get no camera image at all.

That was the first action I took, no luck. Rebooted the machine as well, still nothing.
Coincidently, the computer started running very slow at the same time. Very sluggish reaction to mouse inputs on the lighting controls. Definitely need someone in here, too much down time.

This is the 21st century my friend, we're using LED light now. 😱
And that is why you probably can't replace it yourself.

I don't know if this will help, but after we updated our Windows 10 to v1709 the ViScan drivers ceased to work, resulting in no lights and no camera image. I called service and they sent me an updated version. So maybe it's just a driver issue?
