Free Form behaving oddly

I'm running 6.6 sp2 and free form surfaces. I am having trouble with the associated surfaces when I copy and paste a free form surface to another surface. In other words, I created a scanning strategy on a blade surface, then using a secondary alignment to rotate a copy to the next blade. Normally, if any associated surfaces from the 1st blade remained on the 2nd blade, I could select it and click Delete. Then, click New Surfaces. However, I am unable to delete one or more of the original surfaces. I figured out I can copy and paste the copy and everything seems to work as expected. However, that's an extra step. And, on some FFSs, I had to copy and paste a couple of times before it would let go of the associated surface.

I do this, i have to add a scan on a particular surface on whole bunch of programs.
When i was done i click "Surfaces Used" to highlight the new surface, then "Delete Entry" and "Surfaces Used" again to kind of wipe the slate clean and regenerate.
When i hit Delete Entry though, nothing would actually delete. all the surfaces stay where they are.
I don't know what is going on, but it never caused me any problems so i never investigated any further.
I'll call this a glitch and move on.
