Marking a characteristic.

I have a question about a characteristic that I have masked out but is still showing up on my report. The software is added it due to a MMC requirement of a feature. I remember hearing somewhere (Probably a Zeiss hotline call) about "Marking A Characteristic" there by stopping it from showing up. Does anyone know about a procedure for this or any other alternative. Its aggravating the hell out of me.

Thanks,
Dan

Seems like i remember having this problem in the past, but i opened one of my programs and added a TP with MMC everywhere but i cant get it to do what you're seeing.
Possibly its been fixed in a recent update?
Im using 2018 version 6.6
If you have PCM (aaaaah here we go.....) you can add MMC in as a formula, then add another formula into your comments showing the breakdown of "Base tol + mmc tol = total tol".
but if your'e already aggravated, dealing with PCM is like throwing kerosene on the fire.

Marking a characteristic is only required when you are using piWeb.

In order for this to work you need to go to Multiple printout under the Measurement Tab in the main window, and make sure the 'Hide (selected characteristics are not displayed) checkbox is checked for the printout you want to have the result hidden on.

Then you can mark a characteristic by hitting the mark characteristics button which will open the window which will allow you to mark the charcteristics you want hidden. Note features marked as 'on' wont show up and 'off' will - three cheers for confusion.

Roberto/Derek,

Appreciate the info. I do not have PCM, so I think I will be contacting Zeiss for the most recent version (I think we are running 2017 6.4 here) and download the latest service pack and hope that works. We also do not have the full version of piWeb. I still like to use the custom printout for reporting, but will switch to that if it will alleviate this issue. Will it work with the basic version you get with the software?

Thanks,
Dan
