[Ma...] Posted April 22, 2021 Share Posted April 22, 2021 Hello, I am looking to measure the cylindricity of the 9 struts shown in the image. However, selecting the data of the interior struts for cylinder fitting is proving difficult. Does anyone know of a way that I can segment these struts out of the whole mesh so that I have a different region for each strut? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
[An...] Posted April 23, 2021 Share Posted April 23, 2021 Hello, maybe it is helpful to you if you export your actual mesh into a G3D-File and re-import it in nine different (new) parts? Then you can select and delete all the triangles in every mesh/part which are not needed for the measurement (that means that you select the triangles to delete and not the triangles you need for the measurement...). [Na...] Posted April 23, 2021 Share Posted April 23, 2021 Hello Maxwell, you could draw a clipping rectangle around one of the struts. In the PIP (Picture In Picture) you can click on the clipping cube and adjust the size and location to only show one strut at a time.
