Normal Vector will be inverted

I installed Calypso 6.4 Offline seat to a laptop and used it for a couple weeks without any problems. Then two days ago I loaded a CAD Model[stp file]. I automatic healed, then I try to select a feature plane and Calypso selects a cylinder on the other side of the plane with a notification stating "Normal Vector will be inverted". Calypso will allow my to select some features and than others it will select features beyond it. I have gone through ALL of my settings and nothing differs from my PC Offline seat. I have disabled my firmware, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Calypso several times, I have changed my battery performance to maximum. I have installed the service pack. I'm pretty good at trouble shooting and figuring out Calypso, but I am dead in the water.

This happens when you don't have the Zeiss approved video cards in your computer. You can confirm this by taking the model to your on-line seat and pick the feature with the model shaded. The solution is to un-shade the model and pick the feature.

I tried that before posting the problem. If the video card was an issue, one would think that Calypso wouldn't work for 2 weeks and then suddenly stop working properly out of the blue. Appreciate the input though.

I have this problem since using 3.14.
Mostly with the same customer.
Not to question Marks answer but I'm working on a Zeiss ceritfied Workstation and still face this issue with this one costumer.
Basically the plane was drawn inverted. You think your picking the outside when in fact your picking the inside.
Calypso sees that and says it will flip it for you. Great on planes but drawing lines is another issue. Calypso won't see that and it will try to measure the line from the other side of the wall,(crash).
If this is an old model that you've already used then I'm wrong.

I have a similar problem with 3d line I'm using for planar rotation on base alignment.
I did the 3d line with recall feature points and selected 2 space points.
I rotated this 3d line manually and I *think* it works now.
However I only see this problem on one cad model.

I am having a similar problem with this also. I think it has something to do with the stp model itself because I get that message on one assy but not on a similar assy. I think there might be a hidden or double surface in the model. Just a thought.

ok, just a quick update. I'm working on a different job and I just picked a circle on cylinder and got the message, but just under where I picked was a different surface on the same cylinder. Like a thread surface on a hole surface. I picked the lower cylinder and didn't get the message. It's like I got the message on the threaded surface but not the hole surface. It's the model.

ok, another update. I opened the step file of this new part in Solidworks and deleted all the hardware and created a new model in Calypso. I then replaced the old model with a new model and picked a few surfaces that gave me problems and got no vector warnings. Much better.
