[Ja...]
Hi, guys. If I'm understanding this correctly, the 'constraint' option blocks a feature from rotating or translating about an axis or axes? So, is that the same as making it theoretically "perfect" in the applied axis? When would this be handy? When setting something as a datum? I know it was touched on in the advanced class, but I don't recall the importance of it. Any help is appreciated.
[An...]
You can use constraints in order to measure small radii. The results might be amazing! (regarding curvature) See attached.Contribution_29_03_2019.pdf
[Ri...]
Constraints often require case by case consideration. For measured arcs, how tight the tolerance. Size or location or both. Large diameter short cylinders can benefit from constraints on the axis. Best practice for constraints is to test different settings, then evaluate. You want a stable accurate result. But not too stable and not too "perfect".
