[To...]
Hi Guys, I was curious if anyone had a solution for making Calypso use a customized PiWeb template as the default for new programs. I understand I can create a template measurement plan with this PiWeb template selected but I'm really looking for a more simplified solution. TIA
[Ri...]
Hmm... I'm unsure, but the easiest would be to probably just save over your StandardProtocol. I would just create a backup before you are doing that. Also, there's a good chance it will get overwritten with any new SP installations. I think it's the same principle as how the Custom Printout worked.
[Te...]
Calypso won't let you overwrite the Zeiss Templates. So naming it that probably won't work made that mistake, made all the changes and the report looked great, closed the software and then open the program again and the report was back to normal. It would be nice if we could set one as the default. We can choose the path but not the report in extra/settings/environment 🙁 You can do it...but you need ADMIN permissions The path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO 6.6/PiWebReportingTemplates 1 - Rename the StandardProtocol.ptx to something like StandardProtocol-ORIGINAL.ptx 2 - Copy and paste the modified template into the folder and rename it StandardProtocol 3 - New programs will use this modified report, it looks like old programs you might have to delete the report and then put it back in to update to the new not 100% sure about that. If someone can test this and see if it is stable and let the forum user know that would be great.
[Ri...]
I have not had time to try this theory. In the folder location: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\config\env You will find a file named "value". Open the file with Notepad, and search for "StandardProtocol.ptx", it will be near the end of the file. Edit the name found to the name you desire. Create a PiWeb template with your specific name, place the file in the correct folder for PiWeb templates with the same name as you desired. Start a new program and see if the new name is the default. 02.26.19 tested today. I ahve found the List folder and am able to add names to the list I have not found what directs to the folder of names.
[Mi...]
You cant copy over the Zeiss temps, but I think I found a way to EDIT them to your liking instead of copying it as stated above. I might be off base and I might be looking at the wrong PW database but this is what I found... If I go into PiWeb reporting as in picture 1 here I find the zeiss templates. I then right click the one I want and choose edit. I edit it the way I want and save it back out as the same name. This in turn shows up in my Zeiss template options as you can see in picture 2. I have modified most of the templates to test this and so far it works. So if this holds water, then you can edit the templates from Zeiss. But then again I might be off base and everyone already knows this hahah. Also I will be up in MN on Monday taking the Piweb so maybe Ill know more after I return. Also I can set a modified template as default, BUT I still have to go in and check the boxes on what I want in my header parameters. Think I might be doing something wrong on that but we shall see. [Ri...]
If we know the location of the default file, why cant we edit a copy and when satisfied, replace the Zeiss copy?

[Ri...]
It appears to have worked. I made a copy of my "Standardprotocol.ptx" file and placed it in a folder. I pasted my modified version over the original. Set a program to use the default standardprotocol.ptx file, which prompts to overwrite my file if you attempt to edit it. I allowed it to overwrite. This opens the editor and I was able to view the changes from my modified file. They were exact duplicates. Location of my default "ptx" files. C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO 6.2\PiWebReportingTemplates Location of my modified "ptx" files C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\protocol\PiWebReportingTemplates
[To...]
That’s good. I would make sure to create a backup copy for when an upgrade overwrites the “standard” files.
[Kl...]
Hello I've to switch some customers from the old reports to PiWeb Reporting. My decision for shop-floor reports: Create nearly the same structure as before. - Universal numerical report, like presentation report in the past - according to graphical results, customized form plotts - Option to adapt output according to the applications technicians qualification ptx-files located into the "Generic templates" with standard names. According to the Operator or part, ... I rename by PCM inside the presettings of the inspection the needed template into the standard names of the report. Both reports merged with "Name for Output files ..." into on pdf. Sorry, language is "denglish" inside the attached pdf's What the heck: "no space for additional attachments" Now space a vailable Klausnumerical_additional.pdfmerge_all.pdf
[Ch...]
Thanks for the post, could you also upload the * .ptx template?
[Ri...]
I think this is another option, see attached image. Thru CMM settings, Environment, there is a "PiWeb Reportin" (Yes it is misspelled) . You can set a default template for "Preview"PiWeb set default template.jpg
