Geometry cannot get bigger, but can get smaller by .002" (Ref .2520 - .2540) Based on the attachments, am I evaluating this correctly? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
[Br...] Posted March 13, 2019 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Its a unilateral tolerance where the .002" exists on the inside of the material. It really depends on the nominal that are picked. If the nominals of the surfaces match the print then you need to type .002 in that lower box too so calypso knows to put all of the .002" to the inside, or just click the little picture next to it and it should make the 0.0000 to the outside of the material. That .254 width, by the way, can actually get smaller by .004" since you would add the profile tolerance to both surfaces. So it could actually be .250" at its smallest size.
