Calypso really slow!

Hi,

My Calypso is super slow!!


I'm measuring parts based from our customers .stp files, which I convert to .sat

Currently I'm having a part, where everytime I press Charachters or Features, it takes about 10 seconds before it's done thinking.
Has anyone experienced the same? I have a concern about the file conversion, which I do by opening the .stp in Spaceclaim and save as .sat

Hope to get help on this so I don't have to use all week on this measuring program 🙂

Pretty common issue.
I have my PC Maxed out with Ram and i still get this issue (although other issues have been fixed with lots of ram)
Whenever you click on a profile, Calypso will insist on recalculating and rethinking.
consider yourself lucky it's only 10 seconds.

Johan, how big is the cad model?

Are the models your working with really large? That can cause a slow response.
I had a similar problem, so I got our IT department do transfer some of the larger
files from C to our network drive. That helped a lot!

Mine runs slow like that if I leave the Cad Evaluation active. I have to go into CAD - Evaluation - and uncheck "Actual Points"

When is the last time the PC has been shut down? Some time shut down and starting back up helps as it clears the temp memory out. On the PC at the CMM I would also clean out the Base Systems folder to help speed up Calypso.
