[Cl...]
I'm setting up my planner, and either cannot find, or they don't offer the three station stylus bay for the RDS/XXT. All I see are the large VAST XT bays.
[No...]
There are a lot of socket types missing. We use a Promax retractable magazine and that is unavailable too. It's like so often with Zeiss: They start something new rather keenly, but halfway down the road they run out of steam and seemingly drop their half-baked idea. [To...]
Clarke, The visual probe rack is only for VAST and VAST-XT.
[No...]
But only for a few types of fixed racks. That's why I never bothered with simulating our whole CMM setup. Most of the time I switch off everything except the probe and the granite and only prove out collisions on the part and fixture. As long as the simulation is not even able to approach the first element after a probe change correctly, where is the point in simulating the whole machine? [Gr...]
On Page 27 of this forum is a post I presented on how to created a Probe Rack for the Vast XXT Probe head. The date of this post is 06/29/2018. Admittedly you will not see a visual on the screen but it will allow for automatic stylus changes when your program runs. Hope this helps
[Gr...]
As an addendum to my previous post our planner has a rack set up to hold 12 stylus which works well with our programs.
