*Collision warning* in Autorun

Anyone else having this issue? A new message pops up during Autorun. Pops up with the programs for automatic probe qualifications. Didn't change a thing in the program or the Probing System Qualifications. Setting are on Autorun. Now both CMM's do this. You only have to click "continue" and it will resume. But we don't want to confuse the operators even more.
Just thought I'd ask before I call the helpline.
Thanks

I believe this is because the Probe Qualification program isn't built like a typical program is built - it has no Base Alignment or Clearance Cube.

If you build a Clearance Cube for your program, say a 25mm cube, I think that will take care of the issue for you.

You have a clearance plane - but do you also measure a base alignment or is it empty?

I never use a base alignment or any clearance planes in pure calibration programs. It works like a charm for me, but I can only speak for a machine with VAST XT head and no fancy stuff involved (like weird probe designs, obstacles on the table, multiple reference spheres, etc.).

When I was new to Calypso I tried to define an empty base alignment (identical to machine system), and that was when I frequently got messages like the one above. It's because when Calypso has a base alignment defined, it wants to measure the alignment in Autorun, even if the definition is all empty. It's enough to just open and close the base alignment dialog of a previously working program (without changing anything) and then save to make it display that message. And what's worse: I never found a way to undo this. Once it's happened, it won't go away, no matter what you do.

My solution back then was to SAVE an empty base alignment and to use it as a loded alignment for every calibration program. That did the trick for me. No more messages and no clearance planes needed, since the probe retracts to a plane above the sphere after each stylus anyway.
