Rack assignements and simulation

Hi,

I'm having issues with simulating probe rack changes. The locations of my probe sockets change constantly between loading plans. I have it correctly and then next time I load the plans and they are off by 20 inches or so. I think I my be making some mistakes in the order of loading the work area and setting up part CAD and base alignment.
Is there any step by step guide on how to start setting up a plan in simulation?
For example - load work area first or part CAD?
Set base alignment first or load work area first?

And so on,
Any help would be appreciated
