[Lo...]
Just curious on what everyone's best method on reporting Freeform Surfaces? We just got a crazy part with rounded curvatures all over the part. I will have to do these in sections. There're 300 of these formed spots of craziness. I'm a little worried about bogging down the computer system also. I'm currently making a FF Surface using the 4 pt method on the model and playing with the grid. I call out profile of a surface and then go turn on the screen evaluation to get a color graduate of the points. Is there a better way to report FF surfaces? Do I need to multiply the number of points x3 in the strategy like with curve?
[Aa...]
Multiplying the number of points x3 is not necessary, since FFS doesn't spline the measured points together, but rather compares each measured point to the nominal surface. However, you may find some of the fitting behaviors of Calypso problematic.
