Is there a way to prevent partnbinc from reporting in the header text file? My company uses a custom reporting system that grabs the partnbinc in the hdr.txt file and it's causing some issues.

I've been told we're using CM4D, but I've also been told it's a custom system that somebody created. It's not a system I get to see to use. We have scripts to merge the fet, hdr, and chr text files into 1 text file and it gets sent to the database.

Ideally, I would like to keep the incremental part number in my naming conventions, it helps with file transfer and prevents us from sending duplicates. The database reads the incremental part number from within the hdr text file and is using it for the datbase's naming. The problem is sometimes pieces need to be rerun and the incremental part number is preventing the database from overwriting the previous run.

I've asked multiple times if the database could just stop asking for this variable, but am getting nowhere, so I'm thinking about just trying to fix it myself. I'm thinking I will have to use PCM to make a custom _hdr.text file, but that is going to be a lot of work to add to all of our programs and make sure it works with our scripts.

I also use text files, i send them to WinSPC for automatic submission.
It is a very big pain in the A, but once you get the pattern down modifying for additional programs becomes easy over time.

We use operator inputs at the start of the run to identify individual parts, i never liked using some Rando number to identify anything.
