Programming and troubleshooting

My question is when programming in Calypso, we have been running into odd accurences where the program will be saved in either metric or standard, and then saved. Then after another user logs in to run said program, the environment that user will overide what the program's language is set to. It will run through it's base alignment and then switch over and override it. It doesn't happen with every program though. Only a few programs lately. Is there anything that may be causing this issue?

I've had a similar problem with every version I've ever used. It seems that 1-3 times a month Calypso will "forget" it's settings and previous program history. Everything reverts back to 3(?) decimal places, metric, other stuff too. The Contura, the Duramax, and my offline all do it. The main Calypso desktop displays the CMM calibration programs that are used during Zeiss's qualification of the machine, like the whole system is brand new. I just figured it was something on my end, like Windows updates, or something like that.

It's kind of a P.I.T.A.

Do you have another version of Calypso installed as well?

I've seen this before, but the common denominator seems to be that there are multiple versions of Calypso installed, and I've never been able to find out what triggers it because I've had it after a SP install or just a normal boot-up.

Are you setting the units for your programs in the Characteristics Setting? I found setting them here and not leaving it set to default helps with the issue. My Calypso also randomly changes settings.

That's the problem we're running into. We will put the units set in the Characteristics Settings, and then for some reason every once in a while, a random new program will let the User Login override it. And it doesn't apply to all users, which seems to be at random as well I.E.: Matt Carroll will run "Program X" that's set in mm but his login is saved in Inches and run just fine. Then User "John Smith" will run "Program X" with his login saved in inches and it will override the programs settings and will collide on the part with a feature it normally wouldn't be even measuring.
