Base Alignment auto fill using Select Already Extracted Features

I just experienced an issue when creating a Base Alignment using Select Already Extracted Features. It is a part with a Plane for A, A OD circle for B and an ID circle for C. Normally I would just select A B C on the model and Calypso would populate the Alignment values as selected correctly.

What it just did was populated the data incorrectly.

Spatial - A
Planar - B
X - C
Y - C
Z - A

Correct is:

Spatial - A
Planar - C
(prefer a 3d line of the 2 circles even though it is only needed with Cylinders, do it the same way every time is my motto)
X - B
Y - B
Z - A

The order selected never was an issue, normally when I picked B second with this method it would set X and Y to B because B really isn't the planar rotation. It looks like you now have to select in the following order Spatial/Planar, the "good" news is that if I pick B first it doesn't use it as spatial but still fills in Planar, X, and Y incorrectly. If the secondary Datum doesn't stop rotation it is not the planar it is the origin it a axes.

I have been seeing a lot of people struggling with alignments all of a sudden and I am wonder if this is the issue.

Have we seen any warning or statement that Select Already Extracted Features works different. I did not notice this until the service pack. 6.6.12.

Calypso follows the Can/May/Must rule, so is it filling them in and abiding by that rule?

I typically never let it auto fill the Base Alignment for me. I've just always manually filled it in, but I program differently than some, so yeah. Lol.

Found the issue...Funky CAD model. When I extract B, C gets extracted too. Because I did it as a circles I never noticed. No worries just a bad parasolid...and a reminder why I always ask for step. 😃
