[To...]
I am fairly new to Calypso software and was needing a little assistance. Is there any material available that can explain this window to me? I have looked in all the training manuals that I have and have not found anything. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.20190124_082106.jpg
[De...]
I have never found anything in the manuals about it. That said, it is looking for the actual angle of the axis of the stylus to be measured. Based on how you probe the sphere it attempts to determine the angle of the probe, however sometimes due to errors aligning the probe with the sphere or not being able to probe along the probes axis Calypso finds it impossible to accurately determine the probe axis. If your probe is only angled in one direction it is easier to determine the proper numbers to enter, for instance in this case it appears the probe is probably angled 30 degrees in the Z Y plane and most likely is meant to be 0 in the X Y plane. Now maybe the probe is actually angled 60 degrees in the Z Y plane and Calypso is using the complement - it all depends on where Calypso is using as a start point - on that I am not sure myself. I generally look at the numbers and it usually makes some sort of sense based on how the stylus system was constructed. I mean assuming you built the probe and know it was built with a 30 deg, then that is what you put in. Generally this window comes up when Calypso realizes there is some kind of error in its result so the numbers likely will be slightly wrong - what your looking to do is correct them with the proper nominal angles of the probe axis so it knows how it should probe the sphere while maintaining proper clearance and contact points on the probe.
