[Me...] Posted January 15, 2019 Author Share Posted January 15, 2019 You may want to look at the cookbook again my friend, Probing strategies are not the same for bores & shafts...Shafts have a slower speeds, I may be incorrect but I think it may just be for Passive heads, which is what our machine has. If those settings are of concern, start with a slower speed and adjust to your application. The same logic can be applied to conical shafts / bores since runout is also not listed for either one. Aside from that, the procedure for evaluating runout is pretty straightforward. Keep in mind that the probing strategies are suggested starting points.
