Hello!!!

I have a part with 6 ribs and I need to get the inner diameter created from those ribs, please see attached image (Material is in blue, feature to be created in orange). I already measured each rib diameter at the same height but I dont know wich option I have to use to create the element

Note: The diameter is required only at specific height (2d).

Thanks in Advance for your support

Hi! Try defining the ribs/splines as a cylinder, then use linear scans as your strategy. Set the number of scans to match the number of ribs, then rotate the scan pattern to match the CAD. You can then intersect the cylinder with a plane perpendicular to itself using only the cylinder's "shell" which will give you its average diameter. Or, recall each scan line into a single point, recall the single points into a circle and output the circle's diameter. Hope that made sense! Best of luck!

I'm joining "Jake Shirley!
All you have to do is put a point on one rib and make a rotation division on six ribs and form a circle out of the measuring points!
