I have a part with 6 ribs and I need to get the inner diameter created from those ribs, please see attached image (Material is in blue, feature to be created in orange). I already measured each rib diameter at the same height but I dont know wich option I have to use to create the element Note: The diameter is required only at specific height (2d). [Ja...] Posted January 9, 2019 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Hi! Try defining the ribs/splines as a cylinder, then use linear scans as your strategy. Set the number of scans to match the number of ribs, then rotate the scan pattern to match the CAD. You can then intersect the cylinder with a plane perpendicular to itself using only the cylinder's "shell" which will give you its average diameter. Or, recall each scan line into a single point, recall the single points into a circle and output the circle's diameter. Hope that made sense! Best of luck!
