[Ni...]
Curious what software everyone is using to generate ballooned inspection drawings to reference against inspection reports? As we are seeing significant growth in our business this is an area that needs improvement IMO.....not interested in the ones needing monthly payments just a one time deal and download onto a QA lab PC. Thoughts?? Thx in advance to all
[Ri...]
You can do this in PiWeb relatively easily. https://www.guthcad.com/qa-cad_lt.htm I've used this before. I've also seen/used add-ons for Adobe Acrobat Pro - you would just need to Google and mess around.
[Ja...]
I haven't tested it out but one of the members on here wrote a program in Python that does something along these lines: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=

[Ha...]
We use Solid Works Inspection, I don't do the dimensioning personally but I know there are some mixed reviews. We got PiWeb SBS about 6 months ago and I thought the ballooning process was pretty slow. Not sure if they have implemented auto-ballooning yet, but it would make everything a lot easier. With Solid Works, I know there are a lot of complaints with auto ballooning only working on certain types of prints and picking up different fonts (even if you change the settings). Notes can be a hassle and certain numbers get mixed up (3's and 5's). Also, if any one has any tips or instructions on ballooning in PiWeb, I would really appreciate the help because I have not found much on the internet machine. [Ca...]
Where can I find more information on Piweb's ballooning? Is it a function of Piweb reporting Plus? (Will I need a license?)
[Ni...]
Blair Austin, I prefer not to use InspectionXpert due to the monthly payments that keep you tied to them and the high cost. But that's just me Thank you everyone for the information. I will look into each one and provide feedback on our choice and its performance.
