[Me...]
Can anyone tell me how I can get Calypso out of Offline Mode. I forced it to create a new config. file which got rid of an error that I was getting, but now it opens in simulation Mode?
[Ri...]
On the top tool bar, go to Extras/Settings/CMM This will open the System Set Up field. Look at the bottom of this field and you should see two tabs, one for Simulation and the other with your machine name. Make sure the tab for your machine name is "pulled forward". Look above the Connect button to see that there is not a check in the Simulation only box. Click on the Connect button. Calypso is now going through the process of connecting to the controller. It will need to establish Home position in the upper/back/left corner of the measurement volume. The first move it will make will be straight up. Make sure the probe is in a place where it can't run into anything. Once it has reached the Z limit, it will begin moving to the back/left corner. [Me...]
Hello Richard, thank you for your reply however as you can see in the attachment the options are not available to me? I have loaded an older config file and do see the extra tab but when I hit connect It give me an error. I think this just boils down to the master probe? The CMM doesn't know where it is at? Any suggestion on requalifing the master probe, or do I need to make a call into Tech support?file-17 (003).jpeg
[Ri...]
No need for tech support, this is software. If you at the System Set Up and the row of tabs on the right side of the field, select Measuring Sys, second tab up from the bottom. In the field that reads "Simulation", highlight Simulation and type your machine's name. When you hit the enter key, the Add button becomes active and you can click on that. Now you have another tab at the bottom. Go to the top tab on the right side, "Control" and select that. It should say Zeiss 32 bit and it should not have a check mark in the Simulation only box. Go to the next tab down, "Machine". Pull the menu down and find your machine on the list. The other area on this tab is the Measurement Volume of your machine. If you don't know it off the top of your head, you have a 3 ring binder with all the service information that will have it or there will be a small metal ID plate somewhere on the granite with the information. It might look like this Accura 10/12/9. the 10/12/9 is the measurement volume so in the fields for this we would type 1000 for X, 1200 for Y, and 900 for Z. You can skip Dual Arm. Go to Probe and open. Now we are looking at the Sensor type. You will likely want to remove the checkmark from PC acoustic signal and the check mark from ID Chip... Activate. You can skip Stylus System and Rotary Table. Go to Panel and open. Find the joystick box that looks the closest to what you have, likely it'll be the BP26_E. Go to Tempurature and open. You might need to call Service at this point to get the expansion coefficients for your scales if you have metal scales. If you have glass scales, type 0.000 for X, Y, Z. Go back to the Control Tab and hit the Connect button and you should be in business

[Me...]
Hello, I am actually looking for offline help: New user / learner. Durmax cmm installed, so far so good, but I am having some issue getting Planner seat installed on laptop. Hoping you can help me with "cmm connection". Getting "machine not initialized" error. any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Shawn
[Ri...]
Shawn, for a offline seat, there's no machine to initialize. If you look at the screen shot at the start of this thread, under where it says "Zeiss 32 bit", there's a checkmark box for Simulation only. Make sure there's a check in that box. [Me...]
Thank you Richard, After software opens, if I try and select "new" or "open" I get this error: "machine not initialized", then opens "cmm config" screen. Simulation box looks to be checked. I must be missing something. Thank you again, really do appreciate your time and patience!! [Me...]
Thank you for the help Richard. I have also tried that. I think I may have to create a support ticket. Have a great day!
[Me...]
Turns out it was a SQL issue. Had to get some help from Zeiss application support. Finally got SQL loaded, Planner seat runs as expected, all is good.
