Perpendicularity

Happy New Year my friends!

I'm checking a part from Jig Grind and we have to hold .0005 Perp on a bore to a face and we're trying to figure out how the part is tilting in the XZ & YZ directions...

Is Radians a viable option to see the results? I'm getting .0001 - .0002 in both spacials and about .0004 in Perp to a face.

Angular displacement usually isn’t much help in correcting errors with machined bore products?

However,
If your're measuring the bore with a cylinder feature (at the top and bottom in Z axis for example), you can show the X and Y axis displacement of the cylinder in the custom print out by turning on the “additional printout” option for the perpendicularity characteristic.
You can find the “additional printout” option in the characteristics setting editor, located under resources.
In this example, this will show the directional amount in X and Y the cylinder is out.
Without it turned on, it just reports the combined perpendicularity displacement that doesn't say what way it's out, just that it's out.

Just my quick 2 cents on it, hope it helps.
