This news made me unreasonably excited. Too bad I can't reach the SDP site, since the TLS cert is automatically distrusted by Chrome and Firefox now.

Let's hope Internet Explorer is less concerned.

I installed SP 1 today, it works fine!
The compact protocol can finally be switched off, which was previously always displayed during the measurement!
More useful information can be found in the Relaise

To stop the default printout from showing up after every feature add it to your multiple printout and turn the display off. No more default printout running in the back round.

I am also not able to get to the download site with Chrome.

As an FYI for anyone who hasn't already tried, Google Chrome will NOT allow you to access the SDP until Zeiss gets a new certificate issued. The reason for this is the SDP is using a digital certificate issued by Symantec, and despite being valid until June 2019, Google has revoked browser trust for it. Firefox might have as well, although Mozilla planned to delay that change last time I checked. Internet Explorer and Edge can both still reach the site.

As for the status of SP2, I managed to install it without issue, and it runs on an English copy of Calypso, but the fact that Zeiss apparently pulled it means I'm not willing to trust it.

You only have to accept the certificate under Goggle Chrome and press the "Next" button, after that you have access to the download portal again!
Unfortunately "unsafe page" is displayed in the address bar.

When I looked yesterday, there were only the release notes, but no SP.
This morning the whole SP menu item is gone.
So much for the German version 😃

But that's not the first time they withdrew something shortly after release.

Hello,

sorry we had some issues with the certificate thing. This should be fixed since this morning (CET).

The Service Pack got removed from the Download Section, but it will return soon.

sorry for the inconvenience.

Interesting that it let you do that. I was not given that option at all, which on the whole is probably a good thing, at least from a security standpoint. An older version of Chrome, maybe? I wondered if versions before 70 would let people access sites with these certs, but it wasn't something I could check for myself.

Oh well, nice to see it all got sorted out. I should probably remove my 6.6 service pack while I wait for a new one to be uploaded.

I will continue to work with the first service pack until I know what has been changed in the current version.

Maybe Zeiss will make a statement what changes have been made to the first service pack!

That makes sense. I had to reinstall the original 6.6 and get rid of the service pack on our O-inspect because the camera wasn't working.
