How do I get the Profile without using the distance?

To clarify, If I need Profile of 2 surface, but the distance doesn't matter how do I incorporate that into Calypso?

Example would be Surface 1 in attached sketch, to Datum D. How do I add that with out calypso using the distance. My result ends up being .5 MM, looking for a .075 mm max..... My Tertiary Datum is -D-

If there wouldn't be any datum then you would choose "Alignment of feature" I guess
