[Ad...]
Hey guys need some help. I have a part that has 220 holes that needs to be checked with Positions and size. We just got the Zeiss Contura machine with VAST XXT rotating head. Now i have used the Zeiss before but when i went to the new company they did not have it yer but they had the Micro-VU CMM. When i check the holes in a pattern i am able to put all the numbers in an excel spreadsheet and then copy and paste into the the machine with X and Y coordinates and would show the hole patterns. Now is Calypso able to do this, or i have to measure each hole individually. Thanks
[Br...]
You can create patterns in Calypso. Create one hole, then with the feature definition window still open, you should see a drop down list that is set to "Options". Click that and you will see an option for "pattern" click this and you can define a pattern for that feature so you don't have to physically make it 220 times. [Ad...]
I did try it. But it does not record the diameter size for each other hold created. How do I separate the holes to show the results into the custom printouts.

If you make a diameter characteristic using this feature, all the diameters should show up in the printout. When you plug the feature into the diameter characteristic, there should be a (*) next to it. This will loop through every hole in the pattern. Alternatively you can put a number in those brackets to output an individual diameter in the pattern.
