[Ro...]
So in the past i used to copy & paste the Config, Protocol, & Workarea folders from an old copy or backup, but it seems that 2018, 6.6 has a slightly different file structure. Config is still there Protocol is not there, but there is a folder buried deep inside Pi Web folder called protocol that contains only 2 text files Workarea does not exist anymore. What folders do i need to copy to get all my settings & probe files & defaults & programs updated onto my new computer? Of course i have no Admin rights...... so i need schedule time to have my hand held before i can do anything.
[Ri...]
Hello Roberto, The folder structure should be the same for 6.6 as it was for 6.4. If you see some folders are missing, I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling. Make sure you run the installation as administrator and you may need to disable antivirus if the problem persists. As always, I would advise installing the latest service pack as well. [De...]
One thing that comes to mind is that the location of the workarea folder is now in the 'users' directory, rather than in the old location inside of program files (though there still is a calypso folder in there) So for 6.4 its at.. C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO 6.4\workarea\
[Ro...]
There's Def a difference in file structure between 6.2 (2016) & 6.6 (2018). 6.6 has no Workarea or Protocol folders than i can see.folders.jpg
[To...]
Roberto, Then something has gone wrong because I have the same folder lists in 6.0, 6.2, 6.4 and 6.
[De...]
I have taken screenshots and looked at yours, the two directories you are showing match with my original thought, I attached my own screenshots below. In your picture, the image on the left is the content of the Calypso directory that sits inside of C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO X.X\ Below is a picture of mine from 6.4 The one on the right is the contents of the directory at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO X.X\ Below is mine from 6.
[Da...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I also had a fresh install on windows 10 and the path name is without 6.4. Like so: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea
[De...]
I am fairly certain that when performed as a fresh install Calypso will install with no version number, if an existing install is there, then the version number will be appended. IMO it would be far more consistent and less confusing if they always appended the version number, but who am I to argue with Zeiss.
[Ro...]
Tom Can you (or anybody for that matter) post a screenshot of your 6.6 folder? Im very curious now, because that screen shot of my 6.6 is from my Contura computer, which works very well......
