I cannot get the drives to turn on. I am getting an error message that I think is the issue but don't know. Someone did not shut the CMM down over the weekend and the time change happened and the error is stating something with the time. Has anyone ever seen this? 🤬

My pressure is great at 72 and I have tried to restart everything as well.

This message happened on 11/4/18 at 9:40:52 am (Sunday) and no one was here:
G2: 488 CAN device
CNC Disabled, Re-Initialize Control
G2: 488 CAN device
G2: CMM drives off

Then when I came in this message appeared when I tried to start up on 11/5/18 5:10:50 am:
G2: 0<Err.No.>.<Comm.No.>.<Err.Prio>,<Err.source>,<Day>,<Hour>:<Min>:
.<ms>,<Opt>

If shutting everything thing down (CMM controller and the CMM computer) for a good 3 to 5 minutes doesn't fix it, then it may be the internal CMM controller battery?
Been like 10 years and I don't remember the error that it reported but, it sounds like it may be the same.
The battery, back then, was a CR2032-3V.
You'll have to call support to have them walk you threw resetting the bios.

Hey,

Check to ensure the machine hasn't hit the soft limits of the X, Y or Z axis if it was homed. If so gently push the drive side column (the side with the accordion cover) off the limits for Y, gently push the Z column cover for the X and depress the limit switch on the Z holding the column and allow it to move down a little. Had this happen to our Prismo recently, very frustrating and no real answers as to why all of a sudden it will do this.

We had the same "488CAN device" error message

I want to give an update and also thank everyone that had input. The issue that we had on the CMM was that one of the valves had gone bad and we had to replace it. It was no longer making contact with the electrical sensor. this is the valve that when there is an air interruption in the system it will lock the air bearings so there is not a crash.
