That's exactly what I've been doing. There have been certain cases where I was able to offset to a location through formulas but I'm unsure if that is an incorrect method or not.

at the end of the day, if the customer wants incorrect inspection because of stubbornness or ignorance..that's on them. So long as they pay, right?

as far as being correct? if the basics don't match the DRF, then either the DRF is wrong, or the basics are wrong.

I always thought that about the basics being back to the datums but that is incorrect Zach. It's legal according to the standard. I actually made a thread about that a couple years ago and Mark Foster helped/corrected a bunch of us about it.

I still hate it though.

right, it is legal. You can basic out anything you want.

But if the basics are shown back to features other than the DRF, you don't change your DRF
