[Si...]
Hi all, Was wondering what the difference is between the Thermo Fit Extensions and the basic ones. I notice mostly they are lighter. Is there more chance of bending or deflection (Stylus) with these. Especially on a fixed head. Are they do be used "differently" or is it mainly just the material they are made up of? [Ri...]
The thermo-fit extensions are carbon fiber wound, so they are lightweight, but extremely rigid. We use these a lot, especially when build complex, or long stylus systems.
[Mi...]
Yes they are lighter which was the primary reason I started using the Thermo-fit extensions. It is also published that they have a better thermal stability and twisting resistance. Down side is they don't take too well to heavy collisions. I use both the 11mm and the 20mm
