stylus system information location

I had a probe head malfunction, and for some reason my stylus systems all disappeared (the Stylus System Management is now empty). There is a backup that happens with some file locations onto a server, so I am hoping to copy/paste as much as I can. Is there a specific named file somewhere where it is supposed to be?

I really don't want to recreate and assign styli to all of my programs.

The data you are looking for is in the config folder in a SQLServer database. Prior to messing with anything do yourself a favor and make sure you have a backup of whatever your existing install is.

If you have a recent copy of this folder, the entire folder can be replaced from the backup (with Calypso closed entirely) and whatever settings / probes were there in the backup will be there when you restart Calypso. Keep in mind this will also include any probe rack assignments / locations from the other config and most likely WILL NOT match the current machine setup.

Newer Calypso installations (after 5.8 I believe) will have this file is located at:
"C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Zeiss\Calypso X.X\config\"

In older versions the config file was located at:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO X.X\home\om\config"

Where X.X is the version number. If there is only one version of Calypso installed then this folder will not include the version number.

FYI - If this is not something you understand completely and realize the issues it might cause you should really call Zeiss and have someone there walk you through the process so as not to really mess up your system.

This resulted from my Windows settings, but this is how the Zeiss tech support guy did it.

I have Calypso 6.0
"C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Zeiss\Calypso 6.0\config\"
right-click the config folder
properties
previous versions tab
choose a date to restore to

It got rid of a plan I had made, but the advantage of safety not having to reassign every stylus to every plan was worth it.
