[Th...]
Recently I've been asked to ignore the profile tolerance for specific sections of a contiguous, single-segment curve feature. Can I accomplish this with the 'Segment tolerances' option? It seems like I can modify the tolerance range, but not remove it outright. The end goal is for Calypso to only be evaluating the critical sections of the feature to the given tolerance, with the excluded sections there as a visual reference. [Lo...]
Would filtering out the section be an option? Evaluation>Limited Evaluation>nominal Vector direction>choose the points you want to filter out.
[Ja...]
You can copy/paste your curve so you have two. Then, delete points from each curve so they are each different sections of the same feature. You can then apply different tolerances to different sections but using the Graphics Element, you can put them all on the same graph.Presentation1.pdf
[Th...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't this just remove the actuals? I still want to be able to see the point data for the whole curve form, just with specific bits excluded from the profile evaluation for that feature. [Lo...]
You are correct. I think the segmented tolerance might be your best choice.
