[Mi...]
I have a newb question for you guys. I open a characteristic, like true position or profile... then right click a feature or datum and I get the evaluation page for that feature. at the bottom is "use actual geometry" and "use nominal geometry". What are they used for and why can I toggle between them? I saw an operator toggle a feature to "use nominal geometry" to make a TP look good. Is this cheating... proper? Or just another way of presenting the information?
[To...]
In my 15+ years of using Calypso, I've never touched that option. I think you need to set up and use AutoRun so operators can't play around where they shouldn't. 🙄
[Mi...]
Thanks Tom. yeah, unfortunately there are only 2 people in the group and I'm the new guy.
[Tr...]
cheating...This puts the feature perfect...The only reason someone would have a reason to toggle to this option is trying to determine which feature is causing the position/profile to be OOT. [Mi...]
Travis, thanks. Yep, that's the conclusion I came to as well. I stuck to my guns and non-conformed the parts.
