[Me...]
I have received an error message and do not know what to do with this. The probe did all the scanning on the ref. sphere and then this message popped up. how do you control the points?
[De...]
I see the sphere coverage is set to 135 degrees - perhaps it cannot get to enough of the sphere diameter to determine that it has a good qualification. Just a guess since we do not have Qualify Passive as an option on our machines, but not having enough sphere coverage has given us similiar issues in the past - so we needed to get a smaller sphere to qualify short probes so we could still get 180 degrees coverage. [Ca...]
I've gotten this message before when qualifying a smaller (0.3mm) probe to a smaller (8mm) sphere, but only when the qualification "avoids" the shaft that holds the reference sphere. I've avoided the message by changing the orientation of the reference sphere stand, so the probe has an "unmodified" path around the sphere. Not sure if that helps... [Me...]
Derek- I initially had the coverage at 160 and still had the same error message. That is why I tried to make it a little smaller to 135 and still got the same error message. Casey- Our sphere orientation on this angle is not in the way at all it is on the opposite side. I am at a complete loss on this and have thought of these issues that both of you have mentioned. Sometimes I guess I just need to punt lol. or maybe open up a help ticket with Zeiss. [Ri...]
If I remember correctly, that error message indicates something is loose, dirty, or broke. Make sure all the connections are tight. Make sure the tightening ring at the top of your XXT is tight. Make sure all the contacts are clean. If you still get the error, call Service Hotline.
