[Ry...]
Hi, I'm new to the forum and relatively new to CMM. As you can see from the subject, I have a serviceable but "long in the tooth" Zeiss CMM running Calypso 4.8 I've recently switched from using a TP200 sensor to a TP20 sensor on my PH9A head. I'm trying to create a new masterprobe, but the system *always* creates this probe as a TP200 type instead of TP20, it does not give me the option to choose. This happens even though I have my CMM configured to use the TP20 only. Even when I try to create a "normal" (not masterprobe) stylus system, the configuration window only provides TP200 as an option for the probe. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks for looking!
[Me...]
have you tried a completely new machine tab? complete the machine information (machine type, head type, ect) then click connect once thats all set. once you hit connect this should create a new masterprobe with the current setting. [Ry...]
I didn't try that. Thank you for the idea, I will give it a try and report back. Thanks!
[Ry...]
This did not work. Worked with my parts supplier a little, he suggested that the PI200 interface was not necessary anymore since no longer using TP200. Now trying to find the right cabling to bypass the PI200 and connect the sensor directly to the cmm controller (C99) Theory is that since the PI200 was in the system, even though the PI200 itself was aware the TP200 was not connected, C99 (or calypso) was reporting the TP200 was present.
