Created CAD geometry not saved anymore?

Has anyone ever used the function CAD > Modify CAD Entities > Create Geometry?
Or even the more advanced method using the ACIS window?

I had to learn today that if I do not load a CAD model in Calypso 2017, but create CAD geometry from scratch with the above functions, it won't get saved with the measurement plan anymore. No model.sab in the plan folder and the work of 2 hours gone (Thank you, Zeiss!)

Can anyone confirm this? I can't even set the save path manually (CAD > Settings > File). It points to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\cad and is greyed out. But my geometry isn't there.
