Empty Scan Head Problem

Calypso isn't recognizing an empty scan head. I get an error message saying "Current stylus system is not defined. Run will be cancelled" when trying to run a program. The program runs fine as long as a stylus system is in the scan head.

Has anyone else seen this?

Contura with Calypso 5.8 and Vast XT scan head.

This is annoying but normal behavior.Happened with all Calypso versions over the years.

Click the manual probe change icon (Hand & red probe) and click the down arrow. this lets calypso know that the hand is empty.

if you have an XXT articulating head.
I have 3 sister plants i program at, 2 machines you click the down arrow and nothing physically happens, at my Detroit location when you click the down arrow after 5 seconds the whole XXT head comes flying off! scared the S out of me the first time i dropped it from 2 feet up in the air. i was lucky it didn't continue down to the floor. theres a spring loaded safety catch that is supposed to prevent this from happening, and it looks like its engaged, but sure enough the whole head will come flying off.
So have your hand ready to catch it just in case.
