Maximum measurement across two circles.

Hello everyone,

I have a call out on a drawing that is asking for the distance to the outside of two circles, as opposed to the centers. Not sure how to find this in the menu? So I'm looking for the maximum distance? If I haven't explained myself clearly, sorry!

Version 5.2.04 is what I am using.

You can create a 3D Line with the two circles. Then create two Intersections with the 3D Line and each Circle. You will have two results possible with each Intersection so pay attention to the little blue X in the CAD window. Once you have that sorted out, use 2D Polar Distance to get the distance from Intersection point to Intersection point.

Or, Size - distance - Caliper Distance.

I'm not sure that function was available in 5.2.X. I could be wrong though.

the caliper option was just added in the 2017 update

5.2 was a good version. I had some programs to write with 5.2 earlier this year. It behaved very well.
