[Ha...]
Hey everyone, We just updated from 6.2 to 6.6 and was wondering if there is a way to auto update all existing programs. In the past, we have just updated each program as they are opened. However, one of the 3 seats we have is creating a copy of the program as a file I have not seen before ("compModes") if we update the program at this particular station. Any help would be appreciated thank you!
[Mi...]
Hey.. What exactly do you mean by "auto update" your programs?
[De...]
Pretty sure he means updating the actual inspection to the format from the new version. This happens automatically when you open and re-save an existing program from an older version using the newer version software. Anyhow - in reply to the original question, no I don't think there is any way to automate this, short of having someone manually open and save all the programs. [Ha...]
Thank you Derek, I'm not sure why because this is not our first update and it is only happening on that one station. The programs do not become corrupt and it is still saved in the same location. However, there is also that "compMode" file that also is saved and only on the C drive of that computer. Now, when an operator tries to open the file it defaults to that path (which they cannot open because it is not an inspection file) and just creates more confusion. No default paths were changed during the update and I'd rather not go down the road of having to only save updates on specific work stations. [De...]
Out of curiosity, if you open the compmode file whats in it? is it a text file? ie readable?
[Ja...]
I don't have 6.6 yet - Wondering if something isn't switched on or off for the compatibility mode?
