ViScan Centroid Tool

Does anyone know if there any any kind of centroid tool for the ViScan? I need to measure 10 micron diameter illuminated fiber optic tips but they are too small to be measured autonomously. I was hoping there would be some type of centroid tool that could scan the camera's field of view in order to find the edges. I'm using a 4x lens so the spot size is only about 7 pixels in diameter.

Can you use single point measurement for the edge detection and use the coordinates from finding the edge to navigate your next measurement step?

The single point measurement is hit or miss for a feature this small. If I could scan an area in order to get an x min edge point or y min edge point, that would be great, but it doesn't look like there is any tool for that. I'm starting to realize that standard vision machine tools are non existent in Calypso.

Are you using an O-inspect? Does it have a CFS sensor?

I've also wished I had such a tool many times, as I'm often making self-aligning programs and need to have Calypso find certain edges. With some small parts this is almost impossible to achieve.
