Forum pictures

Sometimes the pictures in the posts are too small or too cluttered for me to make out. Is there a way to make them bigger without messing around saving them to the computer?

You can right click and choose "Open image in new tab" and if the original image is larger then you will be able to see it full size.

The forum software displays images smaller when shown inline in order to maintain formatting.

If the original image was no larger than what is shown however there is really nothing to do but squint.

After you right click and choose open in another window, Hold down the Ctrl key while selecting + or - to zoom in or out.

I don't have the option of opening in a new tab. It's grayed out.

Jack, left click on the picture and then right click on the picture and see if it shows the option to open image in new tab.

It works using the Google Chrome browser .If you're using something different like internet explorer, you might try google chrome.

Sometimes company internet security protocols are set to not allow new tabs either so, it could be that too.

Thanks Owen but the left - right thing yields the same options. I'll have to get with IT and see what they have to say.

Right click the picture and select "Copy". Open a new tab and paste in the URL field. Press Enter.
This is what works in Internet Explorer 11 (which has no "open in new tab" at all)
