[Da...]
Has anyone ran across the error message shown in the attached files, where calypso gives a "Connection Failed to Stylus Database" at startup? If so how do you fix this problem. I am using calypso 6.4.04 on my offline seat. I have tried to create a new machine tab and I still get this message.SDCO Error at Start Up of Calypso 6.4.04.PNGSDCO Error at Start Up in Status Window of Calypso 6.4.04.PNG
[Me...]
try remaining your config file. (while calypso is closed) rename it "Old config" or something. once you reopen calypso it will repopulate the config folder. You will have to recreate the machine tab and possibly add in your tips again. I cant remember for sure.
[Me...]
Clarke had a post similar recently: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=504 Derek basically said shut down and restart Calypso. I've had similar errors before, with the same result, but Joseph's solution may be correct as well.
[Da...]
Renamed the CONFIG folder and it did not solve the problem.
[Me...]
I'm pretty sure I had this problem on one of our Duramaxs's's', but it's been a while so I can't really remember the exact problem, but it seemed like once a week I'd get an error related to the stylus database config file, I want to say I read the log and maybe there was a service related to the sql database file that was failing to load when I started Calypso. Once I started it manually, it worked again.
[Te...]
Had a customer with this issue they had to uninstall all the Microsoft SQL server programs and re-install them through the Calypso download software.
[Me...]
If you want to double check this real quick, just type in services.msc in the windows start menu search and press enter or click the result that pops up with the gear next to it, and check to see if these highlighted are Started and set to Automatic.services.png
[Da...]
Thanks to everyone for all the help with this issue! What ended up working for me was to go back to a previous Windows restore point in the Windows 10 operating system. Go figure...
