Diameter a certain distance into a bore

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to get the CMM to measure a diameter and a specific distance. It has to be the precise distance.

In the strategy for the circle select circle path. in the circle path you can set the start height.

You could change the height of the circle in the feature dialog box (ie, change the X, Y or Z value to the correct value)
or alternatively, you can use a formula to set the circle X distance away from a particular feature.

Jacquelynn, could you provide more details? There are several ways of accomplishing what you need and some will work better then others, depending on circumstances.

It's the chamber end of a barrel and production need the diameter of the bore 1.600 into the bore from the face of the chamber.

Is the face of the chamber part of the Base Alignment or part of a secondary alignment?
