Hello, I would like to add some Pictures of part in fixture for operator reference. When I call up picture in User Information the Picture is cut off in CZViewer. How can I resize? Thanks.

I would guess Photoshop or something similar would do the trick nicely. I have a Canon specific picture editor for the documentation and instruction photos for programs I write for customers that require it.

I have always been in the habit of taking the picture then reopening in paint and resizing then I also have the opportunity to add notes if I need as well.170_3d97c16decd03de865d02b961aa6c9d7.jpg

This may be a tad overboard, but I make a PDF from an excel spreadsheet. A redacted example is attached.

I use excel to keep all set-up documents consistent. I can resize, crop, and align images in the spreadsheet. AND, I embed a link to the print right in excel. For more complicated set-ups, I embed additional links to even more PDF resources - part families, unique fixtures, enlarged photos. I "programmed" drop-down menus in excel with tool sets to populate the stylus information with one click. I can get from photos to a PDF in minutes.

When attached as user information from Calypso, the operator has many resources from one document by which to load a part.

Thanks a lot for all the replies. I was able to resize with paint. Once I Figured out the size I was able to do the same thing with all my pictures real easy. I like the White Block with the colored arrows. That is an excellent Idea for showing the machine direction in the pictures.

Open the plan you wish to have the exel set up instruction attached to and go to Plan/User Definable measurement run info for CNC start/Select. That will open up a browser so you can track down the xls you want to use. Select the xls and it will open so you can verify it's the correct one and if it is you can close it. Now, go to Resources/Measurement Plan Comment and write something like, "if you don't know how to load the part, click on the User Information button on the Start Measurement field". What happens when you do that is that instruction will be in the comment field, immediately under the measurement plan name on the Start Measurement field. Train your operators to look for it and when they have any questions, they will click on the User Information button at the bottom of the Selection column on the Start Measurement field and the instructions will launch.

We have been using this as our text in the Measurement Comment field and our operators now look for it and then use the photos.

Also... just a tid bit, store/save your xls sheet in the inspection folder for the part that it pertains too. That way when you need to edit it, you know exactly where it is. I have mine set up that way and it works great!!!!!!

Just a thought...
